A country cake

This morning the four of us, my husband, Timothy, Tinkerbell and I had planned to go further afield but with the weather being terrible we set out in the car whilst battling the hailstones to go and get a little cake.

We decided to visit a fabulous place in the countryside which I have previously  visited twice for afternoon tea.

We all get out the car with Tinkerbell in toe and then when inside make ourselves comfortable in front of the large open fire.

Tinkerbell sat under the pram hidden out of sight.

Hidden until BARK!  Tinkerbell has and will continue to visit places often sadly off limits to other hounds.  Even before her disability she would join us for Sushi, around the supermarket and so on hidden in her little bag.

Well the lady who was working asked if it was a dog and a long story short Tinkerbell had to wait in the car!  Poor lady!

Unfortunate as this was to our morning country cake trip we still had a lovely time.

Timothy had his own early lunch box with him.

I enjoy a zucchini and lime cake with a my signature drink a hot chocolate.  With this being my first time of eating such a cake I was most impressed.

My lovely husband opted for the classic chocolate cake.

The morning spent together over cake was wonderful and the afternoon was equally as good with more hot chocolate and a visit from my mum and dad at a cafe where mans best friend are welcome and the best hot chocolate in town in served.
Happy Saturday Friends!
