Little tree

Today with a little window of time I decided to make the shortbread Christmas tree that my Dad had bought me.

Apart from the odd batch of mince pies I have not done any Christmas baking which is very unusual.   Normally I’m joyfully working my way through some of my favourite Martha Stewart recipe’s but not this year.

This December I’ve been so busy with my baby Timothy I’ve not had time for planning days of baking.

So rather than dwelling on what I wasn’t able to achieve I will focus on what I can and have achieved.

My mini short bread Christmas tree!

I didn’t yet get around to decorating it with the silver balls but it’s a little achievement.

Timothy feel asleep on the job in the Baby Bjorn carrier while I baked.

I also decided that while the oven was on that I would put in my coasters which I had finished colouring.  I was given a lovely coaster colouring set for my birthday from M&S which I’ve found enjoyable in the evenings while Timothy is sleeping.

My bright coasters out of the oven and ready for use!

Happy Thursday Friends!
