It has got to go

Usually by this time of the year I’ve watched my favourite Christmas film Deck The Halls a handful of times along with other festive movies however this year I have a 9 month old and a extremely busy social events calendar and sitting down still for an hour doesn’t happen.

Well actually yesterday I sat down in a coffee shop with a couple of friends and their babies for an hour and enjoyed a pumpkin spice hot chocolate while Timothy slept after a class.

Normally during any napping that takes place I try and do as many jobs as I can.

Today was a lovely day because husband always takes a day off which means I tend to get the opportunity to do a couple of jobs around the house while Timothy is having Daddy time.

Our day was wonderful with a beautiful walk in the local park a visit was friends including a little play date for Timothy and then home via the farm shop for ice cream on a very cold day!

Before the park we dropped off a second bag of things at the charity shop that we don’t want need in our home.  I have made a decision to get more organised before I begin to decorate for Christmas.  This isn’t to say that our home is disorganised because we have order but certain areas of the house need a little attention and strategies need to be put into place in other areas to help keep order.

After our lovely family day together which included Tinkerbell under the pram I tidied up a box which was in the living room behind a chair and then went upstairs and moved our bed and side tables to clean properly under the bed.

There is something satisfying I find in throwing/donating/passing on unwanted items.  Cleaning and organisation make me feel amazing, I imagine it could be the same happy hormone which exercise produces.

Happy Tuesday Friends!
