Hydrotherapy session 1

Tinkerbell attended her first hydrotherapy session today.  We arrived and were greeted by one of the ladies who took us into the special room with the hydro tank where we spent some time talking further about Tinkerbell’s condition.

As we were talking Tinkerbell decided to poo in her puppy pad which I later discovered when I put her onto the floor to show the ladies her little legs.  This was followed by her having a wee onto the floor!

At this point Tinkerbell was all toileted and ready for her first session.  After showering Tinkerbell’s tiny feet down I passed her to the lady who went into the tank with Tinkerbell whilst the owner operated the equipment.

Tinkerbell was supported by a little blue harness under her body.

I had to sit at the end of the tank to encourage her to walk the correct way.

Tinkerbell tried her very best and yes she was able to walk in the water with a very straight back.

The lady in the tank with Tinkerbell was so happy during her first session she was able to use her back legs.

As you can imagine I was also thrilled that Tinkerbell was able to exercise comfortable and without to much distress the odd whimper could be heard built she was very brave.

Seeing Tinkerbell able to use her back legs was just wonderful however we understand that hydrotherapy is a long process and don’t expect a miracle over night however one would be most welcomed my husband and I are thrilled that the first session was such a success.

Tinkerbell spent the afternoon sleeping after all her exercise.

Tinkerbell has another session in a couple of days time and we are hopeful that hydrotherapy will allow Tinkerbell to regain the ability to use her back legs.

A Very Happy Friday Friends!
