Rice Rabbit

Today my sister and I had arranged that she would visit my new house over lunch time so I decided to make us a very simple sushi/ bento style lunch.

I actually didn’t realise she liked sushi until very recently but very glad that we can share this incredible Japanese style of eating together.

All the sushi I made contained tuna, carrot and cucumber I displayed most of the sushi onto a large plate and the rest I arranged onto our own individual plates along with a sushi rice rabbit which I thought would be fun to do.

After lunch and a tour of the house we decided to make some of the hot chocolate which my sister had given me from her adventures in Granada.

We added one of the cocoa balls into a pan of 3 cups of milk boiled along with sugar and cinnamon.  It wasn’t Swiss Miss but it was enjoyable and nice to imagine what drinking hot chocolate in Grenada would be like with the fire on due to the chilli temperatures outside.

It was a lovely afternoon spent together definitely a happy Tuesday!
