Water Gardens

Today my husband, Tinkerbell and I visited Westonbury Mill Water Gardens in Pembridge Herefordshire.

Water Gardens is actually the gardens of the home of the designer of this wonderful 3 ½ acres of beautiful and unique gardens planted and created by Richard Pim and his wife.

The gardens boast’s a cafe called The Watermill.

We ate a lovely lunch outside under the shade of the sun umbrella.

After our delicious lunch we felt energised to embark on our garden discovery.

We set off over one of the many tiny bridges which connects one part of the garden to another.

This incredible water gushing stone tower is the first feature of the garden.  It not only is home to the birds,

but also a very impressive water feature.

The wine bottle house really suits the name of sparkling grotto its completely magical and the perfect place I image to spend summer evenings or as a refuge from the British elements.

This sparkling grotto is home to a wishing well pond inside.  I particularly like how the water reflects beautifully the various colourful wine bottles.

An African hut,

and a spiral grass mound are all here to discover and share with the owners of the garden.

A giant cuckoo clock which reminded me of Austria sang to everyone loudly in the garden.

This giant cuckoo clock was impressively big enough to climb inside which we did and were able to clearly see a birds eye view of parts of this marvellous garden.

Tinkerbell became very excited when she saw the chickens which were happily doing what chickens do.

We stopped for a light refreshments again at The Watermill Cafe.  This has to be the tastiest fruit scones that I’ve ever tasted due to it’s soften and hint of spice.

After refueling we took time walking around the lavish beauty of this not at all humble back garden passing one of my favourite flowers which I do not know the name for but I think are simple wonderful, I last saw these on our recent visit to the botanical gardens.

Our visit was a truly magical experience and unbelievable generous that a family would open their garden to share with everyone who comes to visit.

Most definitely a very wonderful Tuesday!  🌻🌼
