What bird’s that?

Today we visited a lovely couple who live in a little cottage the husband had built on an extraordinary amount of gorgeous land down many little lanes big enough for only one car.  Their house was the home of the wife’s Aunt many, many years previous now this lovely couple enjoy this home with many visitors to their garden.

One of the many rooms of this sweet cottage looks out into the stunning views of their garden but what extremely exciting and very entertaining was the amount of birds that came into the garden to eat from the many bird feeders strung up outside the window.

It was like we were making our way through a detailed study of all British garden birds as I interrupted on endless occasion to inquire what bird was feeding in the garden.

I was thrilled to share worth the lovely couple what was a daily ritual of bird watching.  I proudly let the couple about the amount of foxes that we have come into our garden which sadly they don’t but they did share how they have deer like animals that regularly venture into their garden!

We enjoyed Victoria sponge cake to celebrate my husbands birthday tomorrow and I was generously given two of the sweet wife’s pieces of China as a leaving gift which I was very touched about, this this the second person to pass along to me some China the other day a lovely lady had given me six sweet tea plates.

Tinkerbell enjoyed her visit to the country cottage and was on her best behaviour.

It was such a lovely time we spent with this lovely sweet couple a perfect way to welcome in the weekend.

Happy Friday Friends!
