Beatrix and Jemima

When I think about the stories written and illustrated by the famous British author Beatrix Potter I often find myself enjoying the story of Jemima Puddle Duck being a rather Easter sort of tale.

This evening after a wonderful dinner made by my thoughtful husband I sat down to read that very story from my complete collection book bought for me one summer when we had visited the home county of Beatrix Potter.

Whilst reading the tale of Jemima and at the same time as being entertained by the fascinating illustrations of Jemima wearing her shawl and bonnet along with the bushy tailed fox wearing a rather smart suit in an appropriate country green.

Half way through the story I realised why this particular story was my Easter story.  It was quite simple because of the eggs!  The story ends thankfully on a happy note with beautiful illustrations showing Jemima and her four fluffy golden chicks.

Happy Thursday Friends!  🐥
