Shared some of the banana bread I made with the Church congregation today…thought I’d share this beautifully simple recipe.
1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 cups self raising flour
1 cup seedy flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla essence
Step 1. Cream the butter and sugar together in a large bowl.
Step 2. Add all the beaten egg.
Step 3. Mash the bananas and add to the mixture.
Step 4. Add both flours.
Step 5. Add salt and vanilla essence and mix well.
Step 6. Pour mixture into a large loaf tin.
Step 7. Cook for about 1 hour 5 minutes on 190°c or until filled cooked.
Delicious served with margarine and strawberry jam.
