Whale Tail

Today we had lunch at a lovely vegetarian cafe called Whale Tail Café.  The cafe uses local products, fair trade and organic.  The menu also has a large number of dishes for vegans.

The cafe wasn’t typically somewhere we would normally visit even though we do enjoy trying a variety of nationalities and types of food a small vegetarian cafe down an alley up a set of stairs to what was once an old cheese warehouse.

The cafe when we arrived was completely busy so much so we had to share a large table with two other customers.

I began with a hot chocolate due to to severely cold and snowy weather outside.  Thankfully the snow didn’t stick.

I ordered a bean burger and my husband a stew followed by a lovely date and pear cake and my husband managed to have a very large vegan chocolate fudge cake with vegan ice cream!

We had a wonderful lunch the bean burger was delicious and tasted very healthy and very tasty!

The atmosphere was very relaxed and free WiFi a added bonus which provided most useful.

The toilets weren’t at all very nice, the toilets and sink were very clean but the cobwebs and general cheese warehouse feel wasn’t my most enjoyable moment.

After lunch we visited the small shop below the cafe which was a non profit cooperative.

Both the shop and cafe worth a visit.

Happy Thursday Friends!
