8 till 8

It’s the weekend and at 8:30am I decided to accompany my husband on his Church business meeting along with Tinkerbell our miniature dachshund.  So we set off in the car, I with slight cold symptoms.  Two and a half hours later after getting stuck in traffic and roadworks…

…we arrive at the Church for the meeting.  One of the stained glass windows was really pretty and I spent most of the meeting listening quietly but glancing over from time to time at this beautiful window.

The meeting lasted several long hours.  Tinkerbell was absolutely fantastic and didn’t make a peep the whole day and neither did I expect to comment once about the subject of safeguarding.  We broke for lunch at around one and then the meeting continued until 4:15pm followed by more food ‘tea’ sandwiches and cakes, yummy.

But the fun really began when following the meeting we visited another near by Church and were given a 10 minute car tour of the area.  The man drove my husband, Tinkerbell and I away from the Church pointed out the supermarkets Morrison’s and Tesco, all the other Churches in the area, along and back around then back along the same street as the Church, around past the Church, away from the Church and past a small industrial area back around through the small town, finally pointing out the park and back to the Church to where we had parked our car.

This tour would have been excellent if my cold symptoms hasn’t worsened and if we didn’t have a two and a half hour drive back home.

On the way back we did stop and get a tasty snack.  I had fish and chips and my husband a subway.

Finally after 8pm we arrived back home.  I’m enjoying a Lemsip and an early night.

Happy Saturday Friends!
