Church Tea Party

Tea party’s really are so much fun so I planned for one today at the Church following the morning service.

Each month I plan with the assistance of my good friend a meal for the congregation.  This month we decided that a Tea Party really was in order.

My contributions were mini toad in the hole…. – this is the recipe I followed apart from instead of make large toad in the hole I used my Pampered Chef mini muffin tin.

…rocky road flapjacks with cherries, marshmallows and chocolate chips…. – this recipe is minus the rocky road inspiration!

and scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam served with fresh strawberries.

Two lovely ladies in the Church that I had asked both made a lovely tray of sandwiches each one tune and one salmon.

My friend made a variety of vol-au-vent which were very popular.

My friend and I served each person in turn with one of each item in a very orderly fashion and once everyone had taken a delicious plate away could then come for seconds, thirds and some even had fourth.

Our Sunday Tea Party was a true success and the best lunch we have served at Church yet!

Happy Sunday Friends!
