Apache Potato Bake

The weather has been a little cooler today with thundery showers.  Therefore I decided to make a hearty meal – Apache Potato Bake.  It is very easy to make using beautiful finely sliced Apache Potatoes.

Ingredients:

4 cups of sliced Apache Potatoes
2 sliced onions
1/4 cup margarine
2 tbsp flour
2 cups milk
2 1/2 cups of grated cheese
2 tins of tuna

Method:

Step 1.  Slice the potatoes and onions.  I used my Pampered Chef Slicer on number 1 for a very thin slice allowing the potatoes to cook quickly.

Step 2.  Melt the margarine.  I used my microwave to melt the margarine in my batter bowl.  Then add the flour and mix.

Step 3.  Add the milk then add the grated cheese continue to heat.

Step 4.  When the cheese is melted add the tuna, onions and potatoes and mix well.

Step 5.  Spoon the mixture into a oven proof dish.  I used my Pampered Chef cranberry glazed stone.

Step 6. Cook in the oven for 1 hour and 10 minutes on 190°c.  Once cooked serve and enjoy.

The verdict:
One word ‘delicious’!  Seriously hearty food easy to make and easy to enjoy.
