Mrs Rabbit and Sandals

My good friend is getting married and we decided that a wedding dress shopping would be the perfect way to spend a sunny spring day.

Wearing sandals because of the rare yet beautiful British weather we set off on our adventure.

After leaving the train station we passed a beautiful Catholic Church with a stunning blue painted picture at the base of the steeple.

We headed for John Lewis where we became distracted by the millinery department.

After a short time of playing I’m going to Ascot we had a mid morning Starbucks outside.

With a full stomach and after buying a new pair of summer dandles the wedding dress search began for the perfect dress.  However in the case of my friend any dress as all her research had been very disappointing as every shop we enquired about said they no longer had a bridal department.

Eventually we located a beautiful bridal shop sadly photography wasn’t allowed.  My good friend tried on several dress some lovely others not so and one absolutely stunning.

Over lunch at Cafe Rouge we discussed wedding invitations and save the dates.

Before leaving we ventured once more into John Lewis and came across a seasonal Easter display.

Most of the Easter items if not all I believe were half price.  I therefore couldn’t resist buying this sweet woollen and wood rabbit.

The rabbit was originally marked up for £15 and was reduced to £7.50.  Luckily I had a £5 voucher so it only cost my £2.50!  Mrs Rabbit is now sat proudly on the window of my kitchen.

O what a happy day!
