Karma Fish Curry

Today as promised I’m sharing with you my husbands very own fish curry recipe.  It’s absolutely delicious extremely easy for any aspiring cook to impress family and friends with.  So here it goes….

Karma Fish Curry!

2 onions
2 tins of pilchards in brine
1 table spoon of garlic powder
1/2 tablespoon ginger powder
1/2 tablespoon salt
1 table spoon gram masala
1 tablespoon Chili powder
1/2 of a tube of tomato puree with chilli
Lemon to taste

Chop onions finally and fry in a little oil.  My husband used the Pampered Chef food chopper to cut the onions quickly and finely.

Open the two tin’s of pilchards and remove bones from each fish.

Add the spices etc to the pan garlic powder, ginger powder, salt, gram masala, chili powder.

Add half of the tube of the tomato puree with chilli to the pan.

Followed by a dash of lemon.

Add the pilchards with the bones removed – remember to cook the fish properly however don’t over mix the fish so that the fish remains in sizable amounts.

The verdict:

As I had previously mentioned on my Monday blog that my husband before we got married had made me a fish a curry.  The fish curry my husband lovingly made tasty delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed.
We enjoyed the fish curry with a salad and naan bread.

It really is such a simple curry to make, it’s not overly spicey however to cool it down slightly it could be served with a spoon of Greek yogurt.

Happy cooking!
